Drainage Improvements

The drainage on Sleepers Hill is virtually non-existant. There are 3 gullies with soakaways but none are connected to the surface water drainage system and they are prone to being filled with debris. When there is a deluge, some houses on the south side have experienced flooding owing to the gradient of their driveways from the roadway to their buildings.

Also, where frontagers have covered their verges with loose stones, these tend to be washed down the Hill and deposited on Ranelagh Road. There have been some attempts to rectify this problem, details of which are found below.
