Notes for Admin

To Add a new year of AGM Docs.
Make sure any text files are in pdf format – If in .doc, recipient will need Word to view.

Go to Pages – Annual General Meetings

Cursor after end of Title – Enter

‘Type/to chose block’ appears.

Type new heading eg ‘Annual General Meeting 20??’

Highlight the above and select Bold.

To change font size on right select ‘Typography’ – Custom – insert font size eg 28

Cursor after end of SubTitle – Enter

‘Type/to chose block’ appears.

Top left of screen select + box

A new block should appear under the new heading

Select File to browse docs and ‘Upload’ x2

Find the file and open it

If file is pdf – on right ‘Show inline embed’ OFF

‘Open in New Tab’ ON
‘Show Download Button’  – OFF

If file is .doc access will be via link.

To add another file, place curser at end of previous box and press + on top left to upload next file.

To Add Scanned Document
After scanning, ensure that the doc is orientated Landscape before saving
Top left of screen select + box
Select File – Media Library
In Library, Upload Files
Browse and select file (jpg) and upload
When uploaded, Select
The file should now appear in the Block as a name with a download button.
Note:
Documents are best loaded as .pdf, as they may be viewed directly.
Word docs have to be opened in Word.

To add a link
In a page, type where you would like the link – eg “Document Name – Download”
Highlight ‘Download’ and click link symbol.
Paste in the URL of the doc or pic from the Medial Library
and Enter
To open in new tab, Click the ‘Download’ and Edit/Advanced. Select ‘Open in new tab’

To Add a New Page
On Dashboard, go to Pages/New
Enter Heading and any other text or docs etc. and Publish
New page exists but will not be visible on site yet.
To add a page to the menu, choose Appearance >> Menus and then open the menu and tick on the page to add it.
To change the order the pages appear on the site, Drag & Drop to the required place.

To Add New Post
After adding new Post, make sure to edit ‘Public’ to ‘Password Protected’ with current password.
